App/website of the moment: Duolingo

As I am taking a gap year, I decided to use this time to make myself more employable and learn a language! Duolingo is a free app/website that allows you to do so and honestly it is only getting better. When I first downloaded it; there was about 5, maybe 6 languages and now they have 10 languages with 5 more coming soon(including Klingon!!). As I done Italian in school for about 5 years (but I wasn’t fluent) I felt this would be a good starting point, along with this I decided to learn German too. I find that if you do it daily, it really helps whilst if you do it more like every other day you get out of the habit of it( Like I have sometimes). Honestly learning a language can never be something bad as it makes you more employable and easier to assimiliate yourself into other cultures. So if you are interested in doing so – Download the Duolingo app here or go on the web version here!

What would she wear? #1 ( Modern disney princesses)

For Jasmine, I couldn’t find a pair of trousers or a top that was in the colour that she had so I decided to go for the classic colour – that is black. For shoes, rather than pointed flats , I went for a pair of Christian Louboutin Top Vague Kid heels which would give the look a degree of class and also have an arabian type of design with the embelishments. If she were cold, then she could go for a bomber jacket or a biker jacket.

Bardot Crop Top

Harem Pants

Court Heels

For Cinderella, I went for a blue dress from AQAQ as they experiment with shapes and the structure of dresses, something I think the Fairy Godmother would’ve gone for if the story was set today. The nude heels give the illusion of the glass slipper, but she obviously wouldn’t loose her heels with ankle straps.

Dress* also available in a mini style

Barely-There Sandals

I stumbled upon this beautiful dress which I literally think is made for Tiana. The colour just reminds me of the film completely and it would look beautiful against her skin tone. It literally looks like a modern version of the dress that was in the film which was obviously the look I was going for! I do not think that the shoes were a particularly important piece in the film and neither with this dress so I’m going stick with the same sandals as the cinderella post.

With festival season coming up, finding ‘Pocahontas’ style dresses wasn’t exactly hard – and believe there are many beautiful ones on the internet but this one from Missguided was my absolute favourite. I also love these lace up gladiator sandals from Topshop , I know some may find the tassels and laces too much but I love it!

Hope you enjoyed this post! I worked really hard on it, please don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin and comment below requests or your opinion!

Blogger/(career woman) of the moment: Fiona Zanetti

To a lot of you , especially those who are big on bloggers , the name Fiona Zanetti will probably sound familiar or you will definitely know who she is, whilst with others the chances you have heard of her are quite slim. However, Fiona herself is not a blogger per se, but her best friend Kristina Bazan(who you can tell I am a big fan of through; here and her pictures on here) is.Fiona is in fact the community manager for Kayture in addition to being a contributor. Honestly, at the minute, Fiona is living a life i could only ever dream of . She works with her best friend whilst having job that she actually seems to enjoy. PLUS, she gets to go to all the amazing events with Kristina, whats to complain about?

Hope you enjoyed this post ,check out my other ‘Moment monday’ posts here , follow Fiona on instagram here and Kristina’s instagram here and don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin if you enjoyed it!

Five websites you should keep bookmarked

1.The Everygirl

If you are career driven , or even just need the motivation this is the website for you. In addition to having segments on the usual stuff like fashion , make-up etc. This website also has segments about career women and ‘GirlBosses’ explaining what they done to reach the position they are now in. It also has a segment on money and finance, suggesting ways to spend your money in better ways in order for you to save more and spend less. There is literally nothing at fault on this website – it literally has everything you could ever want in one place.

Well, need I say more. If there is one reason why I am on a gap year resitting some modules, I will not lie – it is because of Netflix , so do manage your time whilst you’re on it but thats not say don’t enjoy yourself either.

3.Revise or Die

Revise or Die is a tumblr account by a girl named Emily, and honestly – it’s one of the most amazing things I’ve seen. Emily is an artist but uses her artistic abilities to create these amazing revision notes- as I am on a gap year and not doing 3/4 A-Levels but rather a few modules from one not everything applies to me. But if you are at GCSE/A-Level level and stuck in a revision rut this is a website you definitely want to keep an eye out for.

4.Who What Wear

Who What Wear is kind of like an online magazine , but at it’s very best. It literally has everything fashion related that you would wish for – they also send out a daily newsletter which you can subscribe to, which helps if you are not on a laptop/computer very often. If you are into Vogue,Elle – that type of magazine, you’ll love this website.

I don’t why, but I have the weirdest obsession with BuzzFeed, I think it’s because I am obsessed with general knowledge and this is everything I crave in one place. At least once everyday I take their quizzes, which are actually really weird but I love them so much for some unknown reason (omg I’m such a loner help me) Anyway, if their is anything better than their website its their YouTube channel.Enjoy!

*P.S – sorry there are no pictures, I didn’t really know what pictures to put?!

Celebrity of the moment: Arielle Vandenberg

So my latest obsession is Arielle Vandenberg. Not only is she super funny as you can see through her Vines here. But she also has a super chill dress sense – despite onlyhaving really basic pieces she knows how to style them so well! Obviously because of this – you can dress her like her for super cheap which helps a lot. Her wardrobe mainly consists of white t-shirts,black t-shirts,striped t-shirts, jeans, black booties, converse, dungarees, T-shirts with different coloured piping ,plaid shirts, a biker jacket and finally plain white button up shirts. All of these things can be found at a range of stores for a range of prices from Ebay to Topshop so shop according to what you can afford!

Designer of the moment:Sophia Webster

(I am so so sorry this is late!!! But better late than never I guess?)

So this is new right? Celeb of the moment to designer of the moment but I literally feel to not tell you about this designer would be a crime. Sophia Webster is a shoe designer who I found by accidentally thinking that she designer a pair of big bow court heels that I wanted for AGES but it was actually someone else? Long story short, I found her instead and her shoes are to die for. I am not one to wear all black or all white – I do dress quite colourful and I really think that people are really forcing this whole dressing in all black thing(not to say some people don’t ja feel?) Anyway, she’s a breath of fresh air- like not everyone likes dressing in monochrome colours, her shoes literally make me think of what would happen if Disney and Vogue had a love child. Perfection that is what , her shoes retail at £200+ , so for a designer they could be so much more! She recently released a wedding collection so if you’re getting hitched soon – check it out!
